Seeking a part-time Psychiatrist (30 hrs/week, on-site) offering $275,000-$320,000/year to provide comprehensive mental health care in a correctional setting.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and risk evaluations
Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing brief psychotherapy
Responding to psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and correctional staff
Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with laws and policies
Providing staff training on mental health topics and crisis management
Requirements:
MD or DO with valid medical license and DEA
Experience in psychiatric care, preferably in correctional or underserved populations
Strong diagnostic, assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a challenging environment
