Role: RN Clinical Staff Nurse for the EmPATH unit, delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered psychiatric emergency care in a mental health crisis setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications safely and document clinical care.
- Use de-escalation strategies and therapeutic communication to support stabilization.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and collaborate with clinical team members.
- Provide support and education to patients and families.
- Maintain a safe environment and ensure evidence-based, professional nursing practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN licensure and strong clinical judgment.
- Experience or competence in psychiatric/mental health emergency care.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and commitment to trauma-informed care.
- Ability to de-escalate and manage acute behavioral health situations.
- Detail-oriented documentation and safe medication administration skills.
