Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a specialized unit managing acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator weaning. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Develops and documents individualized care plans, assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and educates patients and families on illness management and post-discharge care.

- Promotes a healing environment through patient and family education.
- Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
- Creates comprehensive care plans, communicates across care continuum, and evaluates patient needs using critical nursing skills.
- Addresses patient preferences, values, and barriers to involvement in care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: RN licensure, Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
