Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Part Time Days)

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a specialized unit managing acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator weaning. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Develops and documents individualized care plans, assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and educates patients and families on illness management and post-discharge care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes a healing environment through patient and family education.
  • Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
  • Creates comprehensive care plans, communicates across care continuum, and evaluates patient needs using critical nursing skills.
  • Addresses patient preferences, values, and barriers to involvement in care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: RN licensure, Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
