Role Overview: The Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator management. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team supported by advanced practice nurses and physicians.
Key Responsibilities: Promote patient and family education on illness management, safety, and care plans. Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum. Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs while maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an RN license with a nursing diploma or associate degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. No prior experience required, but less than 2 years of experience is preferred. Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness is essential. CCRN eligibility and BSN are advantageous.
