Role: Speech Language Pathologist responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans across speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing areas in collaboration with physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adjust therapy plans, selecting appropriate activities and providing patient and family education.
- Assess patients, establish treatment goals, and create discharge plans aligned with patient and family input.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, education, discharges, and referrals in compliance with departmental guidelines.
- Act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement activities.
- Adhere to ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safe, cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service, foster teamwork, and promote a positive environment.
- Engage in professional development, mandatory education, and maintain licensure and certifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
- Licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
