Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex care settings, primarily critical care areas.
Key Duties: Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, analyze arterial blood gases, educate patients and families, mentor staff and students, and participate in invasive/non-invasive procedures. Ensure patient safety, promote quality care, support performance improvement, and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Care; valid Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Care Professional certifications; BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (instructor or provisional).
Experience & Skills: 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care; strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills; ability to adapt to population-specific needs and promote evidence-based practices.
Additional: Involves patient education, staff development, and participation in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
