Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Duties:
- Perform patient assessments, verify orders, and administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and gas therapies.
- Manage ventilators, including weaning, waveform interpretation, and airway management (intubation, extubation, trach care).
- Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
- Educate patients and support system, mentor new staff and students, and participate in staff development activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to plan and provide high-quality, safe patient care.
- Promote performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and a safe environment.
- Ensure accurate documentation, electronic order management, and compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS.
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; computer proficiency.
