Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, manage ventilators, administer medications, and interpret arterial blood gases.
- Educate patients and support systems, mentor new staff, and participate in staff development.
- Coordinate care with healthcare team members, ensure patient safety, and promote quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary testing, and specialized cardiac services as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, support evidence-based practices, and adhere to organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy; NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, customer service, and computer skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with healthcare professionals.
