The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessments in critical care settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring high-quality, safe, and evidence-based patient care. Responsibilities include educating patients and supporting staff development, as well as participating in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics. They promote a positive, team-oriented environment, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Care (preferred)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
