PRN medical position at a 125-bed facility in Springfield, Illinois, offering shifts Monday to Thursday (5 pm – 8 am) and weekends (Friday 5:30 pm to Monday 8 am).
Facilities include a furnished call room with amenities; provider remains on-site during shifts.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating admissions, conducting initial history and physical exams as needed
- Developing treatment plans and ordering labs
- Caring for adult inpatients and documenting findings
- Managing employee work-related injuries and responding to emergencies
- Making referrals to hospitals and reviewing restraint or seclusion orders
- Providing on-call coverage from the call room
Call duties: Responding to pages regarding restraints, falls, emergencies, and occasional admissions, including completing assessments and order verification.
Physician qualifications: Current Illinois license, Controlled Substance and DEA certificates, recent negative Mantoux test, and board eligibility or certification in specialty.
Pay ranges from $1,100 to $1,125 per day with a flexible schedule. This is an in-person position.
