The Nursing Home Wound Care Advanced Practitioner (AP) is a full-time clinical professional, either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), specializing in wound assessment, treatment, and management within a PALTC facility.
Qualifications include a relevant degree (BS-PAS/MPAS/DMSc/MSN-NP/DNP), minimum 2 years of experience (long-term care preferred), and board certification (AANP/ANCC/PA-C). Specialty wound care certification is highly preferred.
