Role Overview: Provides patient care in collaboration with physicians, demonstrating autonomy in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and performs procedures within legal scope. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure safe, ethical care and health education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, establish presumptive diagnoses, and implement treatment plans.
- Accurately document in electronic medical records, order tests, interpret results, and prescribe appropriate therapies based on evidence-based practices.
- Adjust, discontinue, or initiate medications as needed.
- Report significant or risky findings to collaborating physicians.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice.
- Engage with patients and staff via various communication methods, ensuring clear and compassionate interactions.
- Follow policies and guidelines to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required. Candidates should possess strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and proficiency in patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
