Role Summary: Provides patient care in collaboration with physicians, demonstrating autonomy in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and performs procedures within the scope of practice. Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare team, and referring providers, ensuring safe, ethical care and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and establish diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records.
- Order, interpret tests, and prescribe or adjust therapies as appropriate.
- Report significant findings or risks to the collaborating physician.
- Perform procedures within licensed scope.
- Maintain clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
- Provide health education, acting as an advocate for patients.
- Follow policies and guidelines to meet clinical goals and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant is required. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and procedural skills are essential, along with adherence to policies and ethical standards. Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment is crucial.
