Physical Therapy Resident – Orthopedics

Role: A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a postgraduate trainee in physical therapy, expected to complete a comprehensive program within twelve months.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care across diverse diagnoses and settings, utilizing current treatment theories and practices.
  • Develop, modify, and document treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies according to department policies.
  • Perform patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and goal-setting, ensuring findings are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Meet departmental productivity standards and ensure timely documentation of patient care and productivity metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Enrolled in a Doctorate in Physical Therapy program.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required upon hire.
  • Strong clinical skills, ability to assess and treat patients, and effective communication.
  • Commitment to education, mentorship, and continuous learning.

Key Duties: Implement treatment plans, assess patient progress, provide educational support, and ensure quality patient outcomes within a team-oriented environment.
