Role: A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a postgraduate trainee in physical therapy, expected to complete a comprehensive program within twelve months.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care across diverse diagnoses and settings, utilizing current treatment theories and practices.
- Develop, modify, and document treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies according to department policies.
- Perform patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and goal-setting, ensuring findings are accurately recorded and communicated.
- Supervise rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Meet departmental productivity standards and ensure timely documentation of patient care and productivity metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Enrolled in a Doctorate in Physical Therapy program.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required upon hire.
- Strong clinical skills, ability to assess and treat patients, and effective communication.
- Commitment to education, mentorship, and continuous learning.
