Physical Therapy Assistant – PTA

Role: Physical Therapy Assistant providing in-home care to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers, ensuring treatment aligns with physician’s care plans.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly in-home visits lasting 1-2 hours to deliver physical therapy services and education.
  • Complete documentation of services, observations, and client progress, submitting within specified timeframes.
  • Communicate changes or concerns to therapists or supervisors promptly.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities, client care conferences, and team meetings.
  • Promote safety, infection control, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Adhere to policies, standards, and regulations including Medicare and accreditation requirements.
  • Identify personal development needs and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current license, registration, or certification as a PTA in applicable states, or qualification to take the exam.
  • Graduate from an accredited PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Minimum six months of PTA experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Licensed driver with a clean record and proper insurance.
