Role: Physical Therapy Assistant providing in-home care to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers, ensuring treatment aligns with physician’s care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly in-home visits lasting 1-2 hours to deliver physical therapy services and education.
- Complete documentation of services, observations, and client progress, submitting within specified timeframes.
- Communicate changes or concerns to therapists or supervisors promptly.
- Participate in interdisciplinary activities, client care conferences, and team meetings.
- Promote safety, infection control, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Adhere to policies, standards, and regulations including Medicare and accreditation requirements.
- Identify personal development needs and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current license, registration, or certification as a PTA in applicable states, or qualification to take the exam.
- Graduate from an accredited PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Minimum six months of PTA experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Licensed driver with a clean record and proper insurance.
