Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with Physical Therapists to develop and implement programs that improve patients’ mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion, ensuring care is cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans and select appropriate activities to meet patient goals.
- Revise care plans collaboratively with therapists, patients, and families.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Document treatment sessions per departmental protocols and submit required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and ensure safety and infection control.
- Support a positive patient and team environment, demonstrating respect and teamwork.
- Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and orientation activities.
- Comply with all organizational policies and standards of conduct.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Licensed as a PTA and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
