Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to develop and implement programs that enhance mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients recovering from disease or injury. Services are delivered across the care continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans under therapist supervision and adjust goals collaboratively.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and follow-up referrals.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately and adhere to departmental protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure safe use of materials and equipment and observe infection control protocols.
  • Foster a positive environment, promote excellent customer service, and support team collaboration.
  • Complete mandatory training, maintain licensure, and participate in new employee orientation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy or related field, with valid PTA license.
  • Current BLS or ARC-BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
