Role: The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being following a plan of care under supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Following state laws and treatment plans set by the supervising PT
- Instructing patients in exercises, gait, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting patient responses and condition changes
- Collaborating with healthcare team members and educating patients, families, and caregivers
- Adapting to various home environments, regardless of client background
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified to practice physical therapy in the state
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or reliable transportation
- Availability for weekend rotations
Preferred Skills:
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and transfers
