Role Overview:
Provides pediatric physical therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to developmental patients. Responsible for establishing treatment plans, delivering therapy, and considering discharge needs and appropriate equipment. Collaborates and educates patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals to specialists when necessary. Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students based on skill levels, and completes documentation per departmental policies. Offers assessments, reassessments, and consultations for physical therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (PT); Master’s Degree preferred
- Valid Physical Therapist License
- No prior experience required; supervision experience not mandatory
Key Duties:
- Develop and implement treatment plans considering patient discharge and equipment needs
- Educate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities to support staff and students
- Ensure accurate documentation of services provided
- Provide assessments, re-evaluations, and consultations as needed
