Role: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Responsibilities: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies; select appropriate treatments; educate patients and families; document care activities; and provide discharge instructions and referrals.
- Core duties: Ensure ethical practice, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, participate in staff activities, and utilize resources safely and efficiently.
- Customer Service & Professional Development: Demonstrate a patient-centered approach, foster teamwork, apply service recovery principles, participate in ongoing education, and support new staff onboarding.
Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Masters or Doctoral degree; valid physical therapy license and BLS certification are required. Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.
