Physical Therapist PRN

Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformity in patients with injuries or diseases. Services are delivered across the care continuum with a focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and patient satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and plan discharges, involving patients and families.
  • Treatment Planning & Care: Implement therapy plans, select appropriate activities, revise goals with input, provide education, and offer discharge instructions, referrals, and follow-up.
  • Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and educational materials per departmental guidelines.
  • Professional Conduct: Adhere to ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, punctuality, dress code, effective communication, and participate in meetings and training.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork: Provide respectful, positive interactions, foster teamwork, and apply service recovery principles.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, participate in orientation, and meet mandatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred).
  • Licenses: Physical Therapist license, BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in rehab, LTACH, acute care, or SNF.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
