Role Overview:
This PRN Acute Care PT provides weekend and holiday coverage, performing initial assessments, treatment planning, implementation, reporting, and documentation for referred patients. The role involves serving as a resource in specialized areas, participating in educational activities, and supporting staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective patient care following professional standards, including evaluations, treatment, and equipment needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of interventions, discharge plans, and billing.
- Manage time efficiently to meet productivity targets and adhere to schedules.
- Participate in team decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, staff meetings, and process improvements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a resource, and supervise students and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy and licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings.
- Maintains necessary continuing education and BLS certification.
