Role Overview: This position involves evaluating and treating patients primarily in rehab and LTAC hospital settings, focusing on delivering optimal care aligned with patient needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and discharge evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document appropriately.
- Implement treatment strategies to meet functional goals efficiently.
- Identify educational needs and provide therapy education as required.
- Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Serve as a clinical instructor or mentor for interns when needed.
- Contribute to hospital and discipline-specific skills assessments.
- Manage equipment orders, communicate with vendors, and liaise with outside physicians and professionals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in rehab, SNF, LTACH, or acute settings preferred.
- Valid BLS certification, GA PT license or eligibility.
- Basic computer literacy is essential.
