Role Overview: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities caused by injury or disease. They collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, involving patients and families in goal setting and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and adjust treatment activities, providing education and discharge instructions.
- Document evaluations, care plans, and treatment sessions in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Engage in professional development, mandatory training, and participate in team activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Hold an active Physical Therapist license and BLS certification; BLS Instructor and Provisional certifications preferred.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
- Commitment to ethical standards, diversity, and patient confidentiality.
