Physical Therapist Assistant (In-Home)
Provide in-home physical therapy support for elderly and chronically ill clients under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, including mobility and strength exercises, and support safe movement and functional independence.
Key Duties
- Assist with delivery of therapy plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Help clients perform prescribed mobility and strengthening activities
- Monitor client responses and progress, reporting changes to the Physical Therapist
- Document treatment and patient progress according to quality and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with caregivers and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, safe care
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Therapist Assistant credential and appropriate licensure/certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and families
- Ability to support safe mobility and exercise instruction
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and adherence to standards
- Compassionate, respectful bedside manner
