Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Responsible for implementing and modifying treatment plans, conducting patient assessments, and documenting findings to support billing and follow-up care. Supervises rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, fostering a positive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements and adjusts treatment plans based on current practices, documents progress, and coordinates post-discharge follow-up.
  • Performs patient evaluations, sets goals, and plans discharges, ensuring findings are shared with relevant team members.
  • Provides educational support to learners, volunteers, and staff, promoting ongoing professional development.
  • Maintains productivity standards, documents work promptly, and actively addresses patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, instructor preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
  • Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
