Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Responsible for implementing and adjusting treatment plans, performing patient evaluations, and discharge planning for adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Supervises rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, fostering a positive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements and documents treatment plans aligned with current practices, modifying goals as needed.
  • Performs patient assessments, shares findings, and coordinates follow-up care post-discharge.
  • Provides educational support to observers, volunteers, students, and staff, promoting learning objectives.
  • Ensures departmental productivity standards are met, documenting activities promptly, and actively servicing patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure required upon hire, including Georgia State Licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills.
