Role Overview: This position involves evaluating and treating patients primarily in Rehab and LTAC hospitals, documenting care in the EMR, educating patients, families, and staff, and communicating patient progress during clinical conferences. It includes preparing equipment, liaising with vendors, and collaborating with outside physicians and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts initial and discharge evaluations, sets goals, and develops treatment plans.
- Delivers timely, optimal therapy to achieve functional goals.
- Identifies educational needs and provides PRN therapy.
- Participates as an active team member in interdisciplinary settings.
- Serves as a clinical instructor or mentor for interns as needed.
- Engages in hospital and discipline-specific skills assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
- GA Physical Therapy license or eligibility; BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Rehab, SNF, LTACH, or Acute settings preferred.
- Basic computer literacy.
