Role Overview
The position involves performing venipuncture, capillary collection, and 12-lead EKGs across all age groups, ensuring proper sample handling and patient care.
Utilizes Laboratory Information Systems to manage workflows, respond to service requests, and distribute reports accurately.
Provides professional, patient-centered care, recognizing age-specific needs, and supports hospital quality initiatives through accurate documentation and protocol adherence.
Contributes to laboratory operations by managing inventory, engaging in ongoing education, and fostering professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with 100 hours of clinical training
- Strong customer service, multitasking, and collaboration skills
