Phlebotomist – Live Well Homecare

Job Summary
Performs phlebotomy tasks in a physician office setting, ensuring accurate blood collection and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

Collects blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques.

Maintains proper labeling, documentation, and specimen transport.

Adheres to safety and infection control protocols.

Assists with patient preparation and provides excellent customer service.

Supports clinical staff with administrative and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of medical laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology.
Experience in phlebotomy or related field.
Certification as a phlebotomy technician (preferred).
Knowledge of lab manuals, ICD-10, and reference procedures.

Licensure & Certification

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety days of start date.
Preferred: Certification by ASCP or equivalent, certified phlebotomy technician.
