Role Overview: Responsible for providing accurate and efficient assistance to licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, stocking products, and delivering excellent customer service. Tasks include counting tablets, labeling bottles, maintaining patient profiles, processing insurance claims, operating cash registers, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and inventory medications, notify management of supply needs.
- Receive prescriptions and refills, prepare, and label products.
- Maintain patient profiles and insurance documentation.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and provide customer service.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and legal policies.
- Assist with tasks delegated by the pharmacist and maintain a professional environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 1+ year customer service or pharmacy-related experience with proper certification.
- Ability to read, write, interpret documents, and perform basic math.
- Detail-oriented with suggestive selling knowledge.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 30-50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in a retail environment. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
