Role: Responsible for accurately assisting licensed pharmacists by providing medications and healthcare products to patients, preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Tasks include stocking medications, labeling bottles, processing prescriptions and insurance forms, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean, organized department while adhering to HIPAA and legal policies.
Key duties:
- Stock and inventory medications, monitoring supply levels and ordering as needed.
- Receive and process prescriptions and refills from patients.
- Retrieve, count, package, label, and weigh products accurately.
- Maintain patient profiles, insurance documentation, and operate cash register functions.
- Ensure product knowledge and department presentation standards are met.
- Assist with tasks delegated by the pharmacist, supporting pharmacy operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or pharmacy-related roles preferred.
- State registration or certification required.
- Ability to read, write, interpret documents, and perform basic math.
- Detail-oriented with suggestive selling knowledge.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a retail environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
