Role Overview: Provides accurate and efficient assistance to licensed pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, stocking products, and maintaining patient profiles. Ensures customer service excellence, manages insurance forms, operates cash registers, and maintains a well-organized department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and inventory medications and over-the-counter products.
- Notify management of supply needs and receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
- Count, pour, label, and package medications accurately.
- Maintain customer profiles and insurance documentation.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions.
- Maintain department cleanliness and product display standards.
- Adhere to HIPAA and legal policies; perform delegated tasks from pharmacists.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior customer service or pharmacy-related experience preferred.
- State registration or certification required.
- Ability to interpret documents, basic math skills, attention to detail.
- Knowledge of products and suggestive selling skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods, with exposure to varied temperatures and environments.
