Role: Provides anesthesia care during surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision, including preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up. Acts as a patient advocate, liaison, and confidant for patients, families, and physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Anesthetizes patients, selects drugs, induces and maintains anesthesia.
- Monitors patient status, interprets hemodynamic data, and adjusts medications accordingly.
- Communicates with surgical team, assesses patient conditions, and manages emergency situations.
- Prepares the operating room, conducts equipment checks, and coordinates with staff for patient safety.
- Responds to codes, maintains airway, and provides anesthesia support across areas.
- Documents care accurately in the EMR and ensures safe patient transport.
- Serves as a mentor and preceptor to staff, residents, students, and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Knowledge of anesthesia procedures, patient monitoring, and emergency response.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret clinical data and respond effectively.
