Role Overview
The position involves supporting patient care in a healthcare setting, assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and patient ambulation based on the care plan. Responsibilities include performing hourly rounds in collaboration with clinical staff, obtaining and documenting patient care data, and supporting patient positioning and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited CNA program with an active Illinois CNA Registry listing, or be a nursing student with clinical rotation experience. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Key Duties
- Assist patients with hygiene and nutrition according to care plans
- Perform hourly patient rounding with RN collaboration
- Document patient care data accurately
- Support patient mobility and positioning
