Role Overview: Serve as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Assist with setting up and maintaining merchandise displays and plan-o-grams, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing store profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and process shipments following store procedures.
- Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays; restock returned items.
- Assist customers in locating products and maintain store cleanliness.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and provide friendly customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
- Support opening and closing of the store, including cash handling and bank deposits.
- In the absence of managers, authorize refunds, oversee cash accountability, monitor security, and complete documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to perform basic math and handle cash procedures.
- Knowledge of safety policies, cash handling, and merchandise presentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandise guidelines.
Experience & Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with at least six months of supervisory or related experience.
