Role Overview
We are seeking a licensed pharmacy technician to join our outpatient team, providing patient-centered support in a rural healthcare setting. The technician will perform clerical duties, enter prescription and insurance information, manage inventory, and assist with prescription workflow steps under the supervision of a staff pharmacist. Responsibilities include processing mail and faxes, selling prescriptions via POS system, handling cash, and maintaining stock levels, including ordering, rotating, and removing expired products. Basic compounding and manual or automated dispensing are also part of the role.
Qualifications & Skills
Key Duties
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, sending/receiving tubes, and processing prescriptions
- Enter customer, insurance, and prescription data
- Sell prescriptions, handle payments, and reconcile cash
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and perform cycle counts
- Assist with prescription transfers, basic compounding, and medication dispensing
