Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, patient assessment, and education in critical care settings.
Key Duties:
- Perform complex patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare teams, and verify orders for therapies such as ventilator management, airway management, and aerosolized medications.
- Manage and interpret airway devices, conduct arterial blood gas sampling, and assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures.
- Educate patients, families, and support staff while mentoring new employees and students.
- Promote a safe, high-quality environment by ensuring accurate documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
- Support evidence-based practices and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
- Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills; ability to establish effective working relationships.
