Role Overview:
This position involves performing general radiographic imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The Technologist prepares patients and equipment, provides instructions with professionalism, and independently conducts imaging exams, including portable and on-call procedures. The role requires a focus on customer service and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R)
- Licenses: IEMA – Illinois, Radiology Technologist – Registered
Experience & Preferences:
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in vascular, neurovascular, or special procedures; familiarity with MR, CT, X-ray, and other imaging modalities
- CPR certification is a plus
Key Duties:
- Prepare patients and equipment, providing instructions and ensuring comfort
- Perform imaging procedures independently, including portable and on-call exams
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism
