Role Overview: Acts as a pharmacist at a retail pharmacy, delivering accurate and safe medication services. Responsible for interpreting prescriptions, evaluating drug interactions, and ensuring proper dispensing. Provides counseling to physicians and patients, coordinates pharmacy activities, and supervises pharmacy technicians. Handles special medication preparations, manages inventory, and collaborates with healthcare professionals on drug therapy and formulary choices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
- Enter patient and insurance information to maintain updated profiles.
- Offer medication counseling to ensure proper use and compliance.
- Resolve routine prescribing issues and suggest formulary substitutions.
- Supervise pharmacy operations, including staff oversight and quality assurance.
- Consult with physicians on drug therapy and formulary status.
- Prepare compounded medications and sterile products as needed.
- Assist in inventory management and pharmacy improvements.

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree (required). Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations. Excellent communication, supervisory, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a clinical environment with attention to detail and patient safety.
