Part Time Occupational Therapist

Role Overview: An occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies tailored to patient needs.
  • Care Delivery: Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, adjust goals with patient/family input, and provide education, discharge instructions, and community resource referrals.
  • Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, family education, and discharge details following departmental protocols.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Uphold high ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, dress code, and effective communication.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork: Apply AIDET principles, foster a positive environment, demonstrate respect, and support collaboration.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and participate in training and orientation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist, with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and BLS Instructor or Provisional status.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
