Part-Time LPN Medication Nurse

Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides essential nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
  • Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time
  • Monitor resident symptoms, report adverse reactions or refusals promptly
  • Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, and support care plan updates
  • Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
  • Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active LPN license in good standing
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
