Role Overview:
This position involves functioning as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, assisting with plan-o-gram implementation, and providing excellent customer service. The role also requires operating registers, handling cash transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting store setup and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and stock merchandise following company procedures.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide superior service.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and maintain register area.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organize displays, and ensure safety standards.
- Support opening and closing store operations under supervision.
- In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash handling, and monitor security practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Ability to operate cash registers and adhere to safety policies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of merchandise presentation and plan-o-gram adherence.
- High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory or related experience preferred.
