Role: Provides direct patient care in a high-risk cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, emphasizing patient and family-centered approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
- Educates patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Supports a healing environment by providing compassionate care and advocating for patient needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Preferred experience in telemetry or cardiac care; prior supervisory experience is not required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.
