Role Overview: The Dietary Services Aide supports meal preparation, service, and sanitation in a skilled nursing environment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of meals while maintaining a clean and safe dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food prep for residents, visitors, and staff, including special events.
- Serve meals and support dining activities during staff meetings or events.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet sanitation standards.
- Set and clear tables, ensuring a welcoming dining environment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
- Support the dietary team with additional assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Effective communication with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions safely and efficiently.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and professionalism.
- Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Follow safety policies, use appropriate PPE, and report injuries promptly.
