Part-Time Clinical Pharmacist

Role Overview

Join a collaborative pharmacy team in a full-time daytime role focused on advancing patient care through medication management, patient counseling, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The position involves diverse clinical and operational duties, supporting safe and effective medication therapy to improve patient outcomes.

  • Manage workflow, supervise technicians, interns, and volunteers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
  • Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, staff training, and transitions of care.
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, documenting all activities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety within medication use processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience; no supervisory experience required.
  • Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) and certified in Medication Therapy Services in MO.
  • Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy with 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use based on patient needs.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate medication dispensing and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Supervise supportive staff and provide education on drug therapy.
