Part-Time Clinical Nurse – Operating Room

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical environment, focusing on acute critical care and trauma services. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans, promoting patient safety, and educating patients and families on post-treatment management. The role requires critical thinking, clinical judgment, and adherence to standards of nursing care while supporting a team-oriented environment.

Key Duties:

  • Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including trauma, orthopedics, plastics, and reconstructive surgery.
  • Develop and communicate care plans, ensuring continuity of care across settings.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
  • Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  • Contribute to a safe environment by following regulatory and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license required; BSN preferred, with consideration for AD-N candidates.
  • Experience in nursing or perioperative care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, safety, kindness, and excellence.
  • Ability to learn scrub and circulate skills during orientation.
