Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors. The position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care aligned with standards and patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including physicians, therapists, and case managers.
- Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of patient health, addressing individual barriers and preferences.
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current RN license.
- New graduates or with up to 2 years of experience.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
