Role Overview:
This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in a busy, 1500-bed Level One Trauma Center, overseeing perioperative services in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, to ensure efficient patient care and departmental operations. Responsibilities include leading a team of 30-35 direct reports, coordinating patient care plans, overseeing staffing and productivity, and maintaining equipment and supplies. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills, with a preference for experience in OR leadership and surgical specialties such as gynecology, urology, colorectal, MIS, bariatrics, and robotic surgeries. The position also involves participating in budget development and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- RN license
- 2-5 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred for advanced roles
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
