Role: Provides emergency medical care in the field, ensuring patient safety and delivering life-saving interventions. Responsibilities include assessing scenes and patients, administering treatments such as CPR, oxygen, IVs, and medications, and transporting patients safely. Also involves documentation, responding to non-emergency calls, and participating in community safety programs.
Key Duties: Communicate effectively in crisis situations, collaborate with team members, adhere to safety protocols, operate within scope of practice, maintain equipment and vehicles, and analyze problems to determine appropriate care. Performs post-response duties and follows organizational policies.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and paramedic license required upon hire. Minimum one year of EMS experience preferred.
Skills: Critical thinking, assessment, active learning, problem-solving, communication, time management, report writing, and customer service. Ability to work under pressure and make judgments in emergency situations.
